Prank City

The “Prank City” has been used to guide the packaging design for a prank kit that features different useless items such as fake bugs, fake gum holders, electric-shock pens, and hand buzzers. In my imaginary world of “Prank City”, the city was full of fun and harmless pranks and jokes everyday. It was an unrealistic world where people were trying to think about new, creative, and silly ways to prank fellow citizens. The real world can be too depressing, heavy, and stressful sometimes with constant pressures from school, work, and other responsibilities. Therefore, I wanted to create a little world of my own that is full of fun pranks and jokes. My goal was to bring friends together with these funny prank items to create more lighthearted and humorous memories together. Cities are also places where many different people from various backgrounds live together, and harmless pranks and jokes are a way to relieve tension between people and allow friendships to grow. I hoped this prank kit reminds people to have a fun and relaxed time, as well as to not take themselves so seriously. Ultimately, this prank kit has created little moments for people to connect with each other to have some silly moments that will be remembered with laugher. For the packaging design, I created my own exaggerated and goofy-looking typeface, as well as bright and saturated colors that will immediately express a silly and joking vibe to the viewer.
