GWEILO BEER PACKAGE REDESIGNING

My Message, Communication Approach, and Concept:

I want to incorporate more aspects of Hong Kong culture in to the packaging with a modern, new look to bring out the feeling of high quality. Right now, the only element of the packaging connecting it to Hong Kong are the few logos on each can such as the taxi and Hong Kong flower. I aim to use linear art to bring out the unique characteristics of Hong Kong while keeping the packaging simple, elegant, and not distracting.

The meaning/ concept:

The whole vibe of the gweilo beer is funny and chill with a joke of a foreigner being in Hong Kong. I wanted to make it so straightforward, so I wanted to exaggerate the feature of foreigner beard. Hong Kong has a hug population, so I created the background with crowded people to symbolise Hong Kong.
