Biennial Poster Design Terras Gauda Competition

 Concept:

My concept is focusing on the paper cut texture with the pairing of fish and wine. I love the layers of paper, and I wanted to create the paper cut texture through illustration instead of real paper because I think it could pop the concept out more in the drop shadow in an exciting way. I used nine fishes in the poster because it is the year the winey began with the first production of 37,000 bottles from the 1990s harvest. I use complementary colors of blue-green and orange because I wanted to push the contrast more. I used the water to form a wine bottle shape because I want to show the figure and ground relationship out.
